1991 Rickenbacker Model 610 (rare)
- FireGlo
1991 RICKENBACKER MODEL 610 FIREGLO - 30 years old, you'd never know... In 100% original condition, this is not a Ric model you see that often,.. this model has a "neck-through-body" for sustain, and the classic "cresting-wave" design, an ergonomic/contoured edge (unlike the 620), and the chrome "R" tailpiece, with 2 high-gain pickups, and the "split" pickguard. Mini Schaller tuners. It has the clean look of simple dot-markers and no binding. Rather obscure of a model, and hence, an under-valued-off-the-radar Ric. The Model 620 is still made, but the 610 was made only 10 years, from 1985 - 1995. The only ones I see for sale right now are all in Japan and $2500+. Highly desirable "fireglo" finish is in EX condition, awesome gloss still, since it's been stored most of its life! The maple wood is gorgeous, with even a little burl coming through on center of back, where "neck-through-body" comes through. It has light playwear, a tiny bit of fret-wire wear, a couple of dings on one edge (through paint), and some finish checks on back of neck (and a couple on body). There is no buckle wear, the paint is still vibrant and un-faded. I rather like the subdued tones of this finish. Anything you see is probably glare of reflections. The guitar is very balanced, and has a nice weight: 7.79 lbs. Original blue-line hard-shell case is included. K4 4778 Serial Rics are extremely popular guitars, and I have sold all of them I owned except one 4001 bass and this one. This is a chance to be a fairly rare model in amazing condition, if 1991 is "your year".
