1966 Gibson ES-335
- Cherry
w/ really nice Lifton OHSC that still has Excelsior key and original handle, etc.; biggest flaw: prior owner put initials and SSN on back of headstock; VG+ condition; no ’Made in USA’; totally unmolested; original patent sticker pickups and pots (CTS, dated 1966); original ’Kluson Deluxe’ double-line tuners; original correct EX bonnet knobs, nut and pickguard; stop tailpiece conversion done nicely with plate at bottom, around end pin; correct ABR-1 with tooling mark; union orange label is marked ’ES335 TDC’, but no legible serial#; slim (1 9/16) neck; finish has checking and top color is a little faded; back is beautiful and has some subtle flame. Binding is great color and all complete. Original frets are still great and rosewood is dark and beautiful; plays with very low action; nice light weight, only 7.5 pounds
